Train derails dress thief

A THIEF who stole a designer wedding dress tried to hide it under his jacket as he ran from the shop, a court heard.

But Liam Stone, 23, forgot to tuck in the train as he fled and was tracked down, Livingston Sheriff Court heard yesterday.

Stone, of Whitburn, pleaded guilty to stealing the dress from the Katherine Hamilton Limited bridal wear shop in West Calder, West Lothian.

Sheriff Donald Muirhead called for background reports and deferred sentence for three weeks.
