Traffic ban in place while Holyrood Park gets a trim

TRAFFIC will be barred from a section of Holyrood Park today while trimming work is carried out on the grass.

The road will be shut at the Duddingston end of the park, where work will be concentrated.

It is not known what time the road closure will come into force at the royal park as work is dependent on the weather.

A spokesperson for Historic Scotland, which runs the park, said the section of road had to be closed for health and safety reasons because heavy machinery was being used. It follows traffic bans introduced yesterday while similar trimming work was carried out at the north side of the park, near Dynamic Earth.

These were in place for around an hour.
