Toy stolen from child's memorial

A WOMAN has appeared in court charged with stealing a teddy bear from a memorial to a six-year-old boy, it was reported today.

Natalie Golder is accused of stealing the cuddly toy just three days after it was left at the spot where Liam McDonald was hit by a car.

Liam was knocked down and killed by a Vauxhall Corsa outside Seton Sands Holiday Park, near Longniddry in East Lothian, last Tuesday.

Yesterday Golder, 21, of Hamilton, denied the allegation during a hearing at Haddington Sheriff Court.

The court was told how cuddly toys - including one from Liam's devastated family - and floral tributes were placed at the site just hours after he died.

Liam, of Prospecthill in Glasgow was holidaying with his grandmother. The case against Golder will be called again at court next month.
