Town House gale repairs

WORK is underway to repair storm damage to the historic Town House in Haddington.

The roof of the building was severely damaged in the recent gales and a broken flagpole has now been taken away to be examined, before a decision is made to repair or replace it.

The council have reopened an area of pavement at the building’s Court Street/Market Street junction, closed off for public safety since the storms.

Another cordon, on the High Street side of the property, will remain in place until a roof inspection is carried out.
