Tourism tag wins praise

THE Edinburgh-based tourism expert behind one of Twitter’s most successful hashtags has attended the Scottish Parliament to discuss her creation.

“#Scotlandhour” is a monthly chat on Twitter about food, hotels and events in Scotland – and has gained an audience of 596,000.

Lesley Judge of Smart Tourism, developer of the hashtag, said: “We really have been blown away by the following we have attracted from all parts of the globe.”
