Top QC's knife threat ordeal

ONE OF Scotland's top QCs faced hoodies armed with a meat cleaver and knife during a midnight attack at his home.

Defence lawyer Ian Duguid, 55, was awoken by the sound of voices in his house in Murrayfield and went to investigate. The lawyer called to his wife, Elaine, 52, "They've got knives."

The robbers were caught, along with their getaway driver, because a police car collided with their car.
