Top football chiefs to face MSPs' probe

SENIOR figures from the SFA, the SPL, and Rangers and Celtic will appear before MSPs tomorrow to be questioned on youth football.

The Scottish Parliament's public petitions committee is following a plea from Musselburgh football coach Scott Robertson for the Scottish Government to look at professional clubs entering into contracts with children under 16.

He has claimed the SFA-run youth development initiative is failing in its aim of finding Scotland's top young talent and is unfair because it stops young players appearing in their school teams.
