Top chef to give masterclass at food event

A TOP city chef will be the star attraction during a showcase of Scotland’s finest food and drink to be held in South Queensferry later this month.

Scottish Chef of the Year Neil Forbes, right, of New Town restaurant Cafe St Honore, will be preparing dishes as part of a two-hour masterclass at Hopetoun Farm Shop.

The Taste of Hopetoun event, taking place at the shop on April 26-27, will offer free samples and the chance to speak to suppliers and chefs.

Hopetoun Farm Shop manager Elaine Shirley said: “The ethos of the weekend is to promote the best Scotland has to offer.

“We hope customers feel encouraged to come and visit the shop without feeling pressured to buy on the day.

“We want to showcase the vast range of produce available right on your doorstep throughout the year.”

Mr Forbes will host his session on April 26 between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
