Tombstone owners given new rights

THE Netherlands government has bowed to pressure and changed the law to allow tombstone owners to trade or otherwise reuse them, as long as the grave remains in place.

"They can use it for a new grave, sell it or keep it in their garden, whatever," an interior ministry spokesman said.
