Tombola’s a money-spinner

A CROWD of shoppers flocked to The Centre, Livingston, to take part in a spinning tombola event to support the shopping centre’s charity of the year, River Kids.

The charity raised nearly £500 in only three hours, as people queued to purchase lucky tickets at the fundraiser.

Every participant won a prize, with entrants who pulled winning tickets taking home gift sets, children’s toys and large cuddly toys. Other prizes included jam packed goodie bags.

Wendy Simpson, charity co-ordinator for River Kids, said: “Our tombola extravaganza was a fantastic day and really helped us in our aim to raise awareness for River Kids and the work we do.”
