Tollcross set to light up

SOME 200 revellers are expected to turn out for the switch-on of the Tollcross Christmas lights next Tuesday.

Watching the district's illumination will be local dignitaries, councillors and carol singers from Tollcross Primary School, accompanied by James Gillespie's High School Pipe Band and Scots Music Group Pipe Band.

Choristers and musicians will be at the junction of High Riggs and Earl Grey Street from 5.45pm with the switch-on ceremony kicking off at 6pm.
