Toddler injured in fall from Rutherglen flat

A toddler has been injured after falling from the window of a flat.

The two-year-old boy was taken to hospital after the incident in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, on Tuesday. His condition is not known or how far he fell.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “At 4.15pm on Tuesday, police were called after a child fell from a window of a flat in Kirkwood Street in Rutherglen.

“The two-year-old boy was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and police inquiries are ongoing.”
