Toddler falls from Aberdeen flat window

A toddler was today being treated for serious injuries in hospital after falling four storeys from a block of flats.

The infant tumbled from the window ledge of the property in Aberdeen on Monday and landed on the ground below.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and treated the young boy in Balnagask Circle before he was taken to hospital.

The extent of his injuries are not yet known.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We took a young child to hospital. We were called at 1:30pm.

“The patient was in a serious condition. It is not thought to be life-threatening.

“We had one ambulance and one paramedic response unit.

“It was in the garden.”

Police said they were aware of a young child falling from the window of the property and said inquiries were at an early stage.
