To infinity and beyond for Buzz Lightyear this Christmas

CHRISTMAS may seem a long way away but already one major retailer is tipping the hot buy for children who are good.

And Buzz Lightyear - the hero of the Toy Story films, could be this year's must-have Christmas present.

The jet-pack figurine from the blockbuster summer film, the My Stroll and Play Walker and the Ladybird Seven-in-One doll set will all be a common sight under the Christmas tree, Woolworths.co.uk predicts.

The toys sell for between 36 and 40. Woolworths.co.uk spokesman Matthew Hardcastle said: "With the return of Toy Story this summer, the Jetpack Buzz Lightyear is this year's hottest prediction.

"We are advising parents to shop early.

"Although we aim to meet the expected high demand, the popularity of this particular toy may mean that we see it fly off the shelves with the same excitement as the Go Go Hamsters last Christmas."
