A Glasgow firm has launched a Tinder-style app for the rental market, where users can swipe right or left in a bid to find their new home.

Landlords looking to rent out a property can input their property details, photos and contact details to the app, where potential tenants can then contact them directly.

Co-founder Nicholas Auckland said: “Equity held within the private rental market has now surpassed that of the mortgaged owner occupied housing market, highlighting the growth of the rental market and continuing trends of ‘generation rent’. Rental practices now seem outdated and technology has struggled to keep up. Alongside this, mobile and app use has continued to boom and Swipe Move brings the ‘swipe right or left’ concept to the rental market for the very first time.
