Thug plants a smacker on security guard

A MAN kissed a job centre security guard in an “alarming” manner, a court heard.

Gerard McKenzie landed an aggressive smacker on Christopher Scott’s lips as clients and workers looked on in amazement.

Livingston Sheriff Court was told that McKenzie, 44, was angry at being ordered by staff at Livingston JobCentre Plus to take his dog outside.

He reluctantly took the animal outside and left it in the care of a friend.

When he returned, he walked straight up to Mr Scott shouting threats. He then kissed the astonished security guard on the lips, prosecutors told the court.

McKenzie, from Livingston, West Lothian, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by kissing the guard “to his alarm”.

He also admitted threatening people with a hypodermic syringe and making racist comments in a separate incident.

He was sentenced to be electronically tagged on a 7pm to 7am curfew for 28 days.
