Three prison officers stabbed in attack

THREE prison officers at a high-security prison have been stabbed, police said yesterday.

The attack, at Frankland jail in County Durham, is reported to have involved a broken bottle. All three officers were released from hospital after treatment, Durham police said. The officers were attacked on Saturday morning.
