Three injured as cars crash

THREE people were taken to hospital after their cars collided in a Livingston housing estate.

A woman had to be cut free from an Alfa Romeo, while a second woman and a man had to be helped from a Corsa by fire crews following the incident on Bankton Drive, in Muriston, at around 1pm yesterday.

The three people were taken to St John's Hospital amid fears that they had suffered spinal injuries in the crash.

An ambulance spokeswoman said: "Their injuries do not appear to have been serious."
