Three held over deaf man attack

THREE teenagers are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today charged with attempted murder, following an attack on a deaf man in the city.

The three were arrested and charged after the 40-year-old man was assaulted outside Beechwood Court, close to the city centre, in the early hours of Saturday. He is being detained in hospital for treatment to serious head injuries.

A spokesman for Grampian Police said: "As a result of police inquiries, and information provided by the local community, three teenage males will appear from custody at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, charged with attempted murder."
