Three charged in fraud inquiry

A WOMAN and two men have been charged following a major fraud investigation at a caravan park on the Moray Firth.

Police say the charges are in relation to an inquiry launched last August at the Silver Sands Caravan Park in Lossiemouth.

A number of customers at the park claimed to have lost thousands of pounds after "buying" static caravans they were later told did not legally own.

The three are expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court today. Grampian Police said a report had been sent to the procurator-fiscal.

The caravan park is owned by Leicester-based Green Parcs Ltd.
