Third of tenants 'put at risk' over gas

A THIRD of all tenants are living in houses with out-of-date gas safety certificates, a survey suggests. In a poll by Spareroom.co.uk, 36 per cent of tenants said the legal time limit had elapsed.

Landlords are legally required to carry out annual gas safety checks and to provide a certificate.
