Third man on ear bite charge

A THIRD man has appeared in court charged with the assault of a man who allegedly had part of his ear bitten off in a fast food restaurant.

The 28-year-old victim needed surgery after the incident in KFC in Glasgow’s Renfield Street at around 11pm on 3 February.

Jamie McGill, 20, from Easterhouse, Glasgow, appeared at the city’s sheriff court yesterday charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and permanent impairment.

James Leat, 20, and Scott Simmonds, 19, both from Glasgow, faced the same charges last week. Leat is also charged with possessing a controlled drug.
