COUNT pug-ula is making the most of the spooky season with his friends, Bat Dog and Devil Terror-ier.

The cuddly pets have transformed in to monstrous creatures in time for Hallowe’en.

But paws for thought – you will soon be begging to give the hell cats and danger dogs treats to avoid their bag of nasty treats.

The furry menaces make up the Evening News’ hellish hall of fame to mark one of our favourite times of the year, October 31.

And even the dogs in the street know that this is the spooooookiest of days.

The mutt-ley crew of beasts were unleashed upon the Capital by their terrified owners, who tried to call for help on the paper’s Facebook page.

Make sure you have your treats at hand in time for tonight – or you’d be barking mad.

Halloween pet dressing is clearly a very scary phenomenon and one we wish to spare you from next year.

If you wish to avoid the fright that may await beyond your door tonight, then make your escape.

Head out to the Samhuinn festival taking place in the Old Town.

The festival marking the end of summer and the onset of winter will see performers from the Beltane Fire Society, acrobatics, fireworks and costumes.
