Thieves target WWII medals

MEDALS from the Second World War were among the items stolen by thieves during a pair of break-ins to homes.

The culprits forced entry to a house in King's Road in Longniddry, East Lothian, through the kitchen door between 10am and 4pm last Thursday.

As well as the war medals, jewellery valued at 2,000 was stolen.

In the village's King's Park, a patio door was forced open between 6:50pm and 10:50pm on the same day. Jewellery, cash and computer games were taken.
