Thieves take metal safe

THIEVES escaped with a metal safe and three Xbox consoles in a daylight raid on a house in Bilston on Sunday.

The safe contained a two- figure sum of money and was stolen from a house on Park Avenue between 1pm and 7pm

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.

"Unfortunately we do not have any descriptions of the individuals responsible for this theft," said a police spokesman.
