Thieves take lawnmower

THIEVES made off with a ride-on lawnmower used to cut the pitch at a junior football club after breaking into a garage at the team's ground.

The theft took place between 9pm on Monday and 7am yesterday at the Pumpherston Juniors FC ground in Drumshoreland Place in Pumpherston, West Lothian.

Staff arrived at the ground to discover a wooden garage had been broken into and the lawnmower worth 1000 had been stolen.
