Thieves nab go-karts in centre raid

Police in West Lothian are hunting thieves who stole more than £1200 worth of go-karts from the Almond Valley Heritage Centre in Livingston.

Five pedal go-karts, each valued at 250, were taken during the break-in that took place overnight on Wednesday into Thursday.

Another go-kart was stolen in an earlier break-in on Friday, April 22.

The go-karts were stolen from a storage shed within the grounds of the centre.

A police spokesman said: "The go-karts are well used and enjoyed by many of the children who visit the centre.

"Whoever stole them would probably have used a van to transport them and we are appealing to anyone who noticed a suspicious vehicle in the area to contact us.

"Similarly, anyone who thinks they have been offered a stolen go-kart for sale, or who has any other information, should also get in touch."
