Thieves grab gold Rolex watch in raid

A THIEF broke into a house and made off with property including a gold Rolex watch.

Police are appealing for information following the housebreaking in Lord President Road in North Berwick, East Lothian.

Two gold watches, including the Rolex, an iPod, a satnav device, and a digital camera were all taken, along with a small amount of cash.

The break-in took place sometime between 3 and 16 June.

A police spokesman said: "We are appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact us.

"Similarly, anyone who suspects they may have been offered any of the stolen items for sale should also get in touch.

"At this time we would warn people who are going on holiday or leaving their home unoccupied for a period of time to make sure that their property is properly secured before they leave."
