Thief makes TV bungle after stealing broken set

A THIEF stole a television from the back of a lorry while the driver was making a delivery to a store – but the TV was due to be returned as it was faulty.

The culprit grabbed the box with the 32in Toshiba HD LCD TV from the lorry in the High Street in Tranent, East Lothian.

The suspect is around 6ft tall, and was wearing a black jacket and grey hooded top at the time of the theft on Thursday. Meanwhile, police are still seeking a thief who stole a black Thinkpad laptop from Ogilvie House in Meadowmill, Tranent, last Monday between 9am and 5pm.
