Thief gave game away

A THIEF knocked on the door of a woman’s home and asked for change minutes before breaking into a car in the driveway.

Josh Fealy smashed the passenger window of a Mini and nicked a handbag from the front seat, a court heard.

But as soon as the car alarm went off, the furious householder phoned police and gave them a detailed description of the accused.

Fealy, 21, was arrested within minutes near the scene of the crime in Bathgate, West Lothian, Livingston Sheriff Court was told yesterday.

He was remanded in custody for background reports.
