Therapist in awards final

A BEAUTY therapist made it to the final five of this year’s Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards.

Katie Mathieson, from Bonnyrigg, is a Beauty Therapist at Jewel & Esk College’s Bliss beauty salon and was shortlisted in the national awards for the title of Beautician of the Year.

The 21-year-old said she was delighted to be nominated.

She said: “I was really shocked when I found out I was in the final five of the competition. I didn’t know that my colleagues had nominated me.”
