Thefts down at businesses

THE number of break-ins to businesses in the Capital dropped by 13 per cent against the three-year average, figures have shown.

A total of 576 break-ins to business premises were recorded between April and October last year, compared with 663 for the three-year average for the same period.

Out of the 576 break-ins, 131 have so far been solved.

Meanwhile, shoplifting fell by 13 per cent in the same period in Edinburgh.
