The Romans are coming … to Falkirk

THE sights and sounds of a Roman encampment are to be recreated in the grounds of Callendar House in Falkirk as part of a series of events to celebrate World Heritage Day.

Events will take place on 18 April at all five of Scotland's World Heritage sites - Edinburgh's Old and New Towns, the Antonine Wall, the Heart of Neolithic Orkney, New Lanark and St Kilda.

Workshops and exhibitions will take place at all the sites, except the uninhabited island of St Kilda, which will be celebrated in events in Tarbert on the Isle of Harris.
