The Archers fans: 'I don't feel shaken to core, just let down'

THE official BBC Archers discussion forum was in meltdown last night as fans vented their fury over the lack of shock storylines.

Fan Marms led the attack, saying: "I'd like my money back. I don't feel shaken to the core - just let down."

Fellow Archers follower Sarah said: "Where was the surprise promised? The roof storyline has been heavily signposted. Very disappointing - a big anti-climax."

Nancy logged on to say: "Couldn't agree more. One word: Lame."

ConradTheCaterpillar posted: "Like England playing in the World Cup, promising a lot, delivering nothing."

Gaelforce9 added: "There really was no drama about it, it was all totally predictable, and deeply depressing.

"If this is what we can look forward to in the next 60 years, I think we've been thoroughly short-changed.

"I'm desperately sorry about Nige, and disgusted with the whole Hell Queen story."

Looby-Lewis added: "That was rubbish. Both stories. How does either Shake Archers to the Core? Lynda has to re-cast the panto for the end of the run?"

Hirfron said: "Well, I was NOT shaken to my core!

"However, the fact that Hellin is safely delivered, does not mean she's out of danger from pre-eclampsia. She could still become eclamptic and suffer a fit and die (please). Agree with all other posters, that both storylines were mundane and not dramatic enough for what has been trailed. Pants!"
