Tests to help ease pressure

THE Blood Pressure Association is offering city residents free tests as part of Know Your Numbers Week.

Health professionals around the Capital will be offering people of all ages the chance to have a free check-up and find out if they need treatment.

Mike Rich, executive director of the association, said: "One in three UK adults have high blood pressure, yet only a quarter know their blood pressure numbers. This ignorance is causing death and disability so that's why we're asking the UK public 'Are you gambling with your health?'

"We want everyone to lower their odds of stroke and heart attack, by having their free blood pressure check this Know your Numbers! Week."
