Two Tesco workers have been suspended after a brawl broke out in the fruit and veg aisle of a Scottish store.

Shocked shoppers watched on as a customer and a Tesco employee and contractor apparently ended up fighting.

Police were called in to help deal with the situation in Huntly in Aberdeenshire at the weekend.

CCTV footage has been examined but no-one has been charged.

A customer, who did not want to be named, said: “I couldn’t believe it when they started fighting in the fruit and veg aisle.

“It was quite shocking as there were families with children standing around watching.

“One of the bosses at the store was trying to calm things down and was shouting at the staff involved.”

A Tesco spokesman said they were looking into the matter.

He said: “We are investigating an incident at our Huntly store.
