Terrier dog bites girl in face at park

A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl was bitten in the face by a Staffordshire bull terrier dog as she left a playpark with her mother.

She was attacked by the dog, which was not on a lead, at Castlepark Green in the Craigmillar area of Edinburgh on Thursday evening.

Police said a passer-by forced the dog off the girl.

She was taken to a local doctor’s surgery where she was treated for a cut to her face and scratches.
