Teenagers in racial attack

Police are hunting two teenagers after a man was racially assaulted in Edinburgh at the weekend.

The 34-year-old victim was attacked in the city’s south side in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He was standing beside the traffic light junction at Clerk Street between 2am and 3:30am when he was approached by two men and a woman.

One of the men and the woman, both of whom are thought to be aged 17-18, started to talk to him, before racially abusing him. They then struggled with the victim, from south-east Asia, continually knocking him to the ground as he tried to get back to his feet.

The man later realised his Tag Heuer watch was missing.
