Teenagers arrested after being tracked by victims

TWO teenagers have been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged robbery of three male youths in the west of Edinburgh.

The victims, aged 17, 17 and 18, were in Saughton Park on Thursday when they were robbed of their personal possessions by a pair of thieves.

But the trio decided to follow the thieves from a safe distance as they contacted police over the incident.

The teenagers were able to provide directions of the whereabouts of the alleged suspects. Officers attended and arrested two young men aged 16 and 18.

The pair were set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.
