Teenager in dock after mum death

A TEENAGER has appeared in court charged with the murder of a mother-of-two found dead at a house in West Lothian.

James Ellis is accused of killing Alami Gotip, 22, at a property in the Dedridge area of Livingston.

The 18-year-old, from Livingston, made no plea or declaration when he appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday. He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again next week.

Ms Gotip was found dead with multiple stab wounds by police responding to a 999 call.

Her body was discovered at around 10pm on Wednesday in the living room of the house in Nigel Rise.
