Teenager arrested over Ayrshire stabbing death

A 16-year-old has been arrested in connection with the death of a man last weekend.

Scott Margery, 27, from Ardrossan, North Ayrshire, died in hospital after being stabbed in nearby Stevenston in the early hours of last Sunday.

He was discovered at about 4am and taken to Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock where he later died.

The arrested teenager is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
