Teenage girl charged over assault which left man with broken jaw

A TEENAGE girl has been charged in connection with a serious assault on a man on his way home from a night out.

The 24-year-old suffered a broken jaw in the incident in Earl Grey Street, Edinburgh, at around 3am on March 13.

He was walking with a 24-year-old woman at the time.

Lothian and Borders Police said that a 17-year-old girl has been arrested and charged over the alleged attack.

She is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in due course.
