Teen in court over robbery

A TEENAGER has been arrested and charged in connection with a knifepoint robbery at a city cafe.

The 18-year-old man was charged following the alleged robbery at around 5:30pm on Sunday, 7 March at the Moo Cafe in Brandon Terrace, Canonmills.

Two suspects raided the cafe and made off with the day's takings and a 600 Dell laptop computer which held the business accounts.

Police said a positive line of inquiry is currently being followed to locate a second man believed to be involved.

The arrested man was set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.
