Teen hurt in car accident

A TEENAGER was taken to hospital after a car accident at a golf course in Lasswade in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 17-year-old boy suffered head and severe leg injuries in the single vehicle accident at Melville Golf Course on Melville Dykes Road at around 1:20am.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to free him from the vehicle. The boy was transported to the ERI by ambulance.

A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
