Teen held on blaze charge

A TEENAGE boy has been arrested and charged following a fire on a new woodland pathway in the Lothians.

The 14-year-old boy was detained by police in connection with the blaze on Friday, February 10 on the pathway in Polbeth which links the village with West Calder in West Lothian.

The incident happened around 1pm, in the area of Chapelton Drive.

A police spokesman said: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace others believed to be involved, and anyone with any information should contact police.”
