Teen fights for life after attack

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was yesterday fighting for his life after a horrific attack in Renfrew.

The boy, who has not been named, received treatment for severe facial injuries after a serious assault at about 2am on Saturday.

Detectives are hunting a gang of youths believed to behind the attack on the teenager who is described as being in a “critical condition” in Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital. Police said the attack took place after an altercation in Elm Avenue.

They said that the assault involved “a number of other males”.

Detectives at Paisley CID are continuing with their inquiries and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the attack.
