Teen charged over car crash

A TEENAGER has been charged with driving offences following an accident where a car struck a lamppost.

The 18-year-old was charged following the incident, which took place just before 3.30am on Sunday, January 30.

A man and a woman, who were travelling in the vehicle, were taken to hospital for treatment following the crash.

A police spokeswoman said: "An 18-year-old man has been charged with driving offences in connection with a one-car collision in Lanark Road."
