Teen cancer unit boost

A UNIT for teenagers battling cancer will help them cope better with their treatment, according to a leading consultant.

The Teenage Cancer Trust facility opened at the Sick Kids Hospital earlier this year, with an expanded version planned when it moves to Little France three years from now.

Dr Hamish Wallace, consultant in paediatric oncology, said: "Teenagers told us this unit makes hospital much more bearable and will improve their ability to cope with treatment."
