Techaus will take place on Friday, November 11 at the SWG3 venue in the city’s west end and aims to bring together local businesses with industry leaders.

The event is a collaboration between the Equator marketing agency and the Digital Meetups, a monthly gathering held in the Merchant City.

Meetups co-founder Mark Muir said: “We’ve been running regular Digital Meetups over the last year, bringing together the digital community to learn and share ideas.

“This inspired us to create something on a bigger scale, getting industry leaders on board to help us engage better with young people and the wider digital community.”

Among the confirmed speakers are Sharon Moore of IBM, Timea Tabori of Rockstar North, and Harvey Wheaton from Code Clan.

James Jefferson, co-founder of Equator, said: “Scotland has always had an enviable reputation for innovation and this has translated seamlessly into the digital space.

“The quality of digital talent is extremely high and it is about time that we had an exciting event to show that off, bringing together forward-thinking individuals and businesses in a dynamic setting.

“It’s also vital that we get more young people excited about developing a career in the digital and creative industries.

“Techaus offers the perfect platform for the industry to connect with this talent, helping us to deliver the next generation of innovators that will shape the direction of the sector.”
