Teacher has O2 in his sights

A PRIMARY teacher from West Lothian has his sights on a performance at London's O2 arena after making it to the semi-finals of one of the UK's largest unsigned acts competition.

Paul Barrowman has already passed two heats of Live and Unsigned and is one of around 360 contestants remaining out of an initial 10,000.

The 25-year-old, who works at Knightsridge Primary in Livingston, will now go on to perform as Just Paul at The Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle on April 24.

If he succeeds, Paul and 35 other finalists will be judged by a celebrity panel.

Paul said: "It's quite a shock to have got so far.

"I didn't realise how big the competition was but now I'm here I'm just concentrating on getting to the finals."
